Commuting to work near Warsaw – how an employment agency solves it

2026-10-13 Kategoria: More about work

Most warehouses around Warsaw stand along the roads out of the city, ten to several dozen kilometres from the centre. Daily commuting near Warsaw is the main obstacle for many people choosing warehouse work. We explain how we solve this at HR Work and what options you have if you prefer to commute on your own.

Three ways to get to the warehouse

With offers near Warsaw you will come across three models. The first is accommodation close to the hall and transport organised by the agency. The second is a daily commute by train or bus from Warsaw or a nearby town. The third is your own car. Each has pros and cons, so during recruitment we ask where you will be commuting from and match the offer to your answer.

Transport from accommodation, the HR Work way

For offers with accommodation we provide transport from the accommodation to the warehouse and back. We choose flats within a reasonable distance of the hall, and transport organised by the agency or the employer takes workers to their shifts. Departure times follow the shift schedule, including night and weekend shifts. You do not need to check timetables or worry about being late for the briefing.

Most people who come to work from another region of Poland or from abroad choose this model. It lets you start work right after arrival, without looking for a flat and without a car. We give the details of accommodation and transport in every offer on our page about warehouse jobs in the Masovian Voivodeship.

Commuting by train and suburban transport

If you live in Warsaw or nearby and prefer to go home at night, check whether the warehouse is close to a station. Suburban trains run, among other places, to Pruszków, Błonie, Sochaczew, Grodzisk Mazowiecki and Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. Suburban buses and private minibus lines serve many towns as well.

Before you choose an offer, compare the timetable with the shift hours. A shift starting at 6:00 or ending after 22:00 can be hard to combine with public transport. Tell the recruiter and we will pick a shift or a location you can reach without trouble.

Your own car and the transport bonus

Your own car gives you the most freedom, especially at warehouses along the S8 and A2, where public transport is limited. For many HR Work offers, people who commute on their own receive a bonus on top of the hourly rate for using their own transport. A similar bonus applies to your own accommodation. We state the amounts in the text of each offer.

Work out what fuel and time on the road cost you and compare it with the bonus. Sometimes it pays to live close to the warehouse in a flat from the agency and keep the car for weekend trips home.

How long the commute takes

With agency transport the journey from the flat to the hall is usually short, because the flats are close to work. If you commute from Warsaw by train, allow about an hour each way, including the walk to the station and from the station to the warehouse. By car outside rush hours the journey can be faster, but in the morning and afternoon the roads out of the city get congested.

Questions to ask before accepting an offer

  • Is transport provided for all shifts, including nights and weekends?
  • How far from the warehouse is the accommodation?
  • Can I drive my own car, and is there parking at the hall?
  • Is there a bonus for using my own transport?
  • How does the journey work on the first day?

A recruiter will answer all of these before you sign the contract. If anything changes while you work, your coordinator will help; coordinators stay in touch with workers at every stage of employment.
